Former House GOP Calls Out Ryan For His Ridiculous Excuse As To Why They Won’t Impeach Trump

Former House Republican Bob Inglis, who was part of the Judiciary Committee that impeached former president Bill Clinton, spoke out against Speaker Paul Ryan for his ridiculous excuse as to why they won’t impeach Donald Trump.

Inglis took to Twitter where he called out Ryan, saying that he would have definitely begin impeaching Trump if he were a Democrat.

He tweeted:

“@SpeakerRyan you know this isn’t true. You know that you would be inquiring into impeachment if this were a D.”

Inglis was referring to Ryan’s comments when asked if he would be looking into impeachment if a Democratic president was in the same position as Trump.

Ryan said that he wouldn’t, “No. I don’t think we would, actually. I don’t think
that’s at all the case.”

Ryan said that Trump is “new to government” as the reason why he wouldn’t impeach him.

“What I got out of that testimony is, we now know why he was so frustrated when the FBI director told him three times there’s no investigation of him, yet that speculation was allowed to continue,” Ryan said.

“The president’s new at this. He’s new to government. So, he probably wasn’t steeped in the long-running protocols that establish the relationships between [the Department of Justice], the FBI and White Houses. He’s just new to this,” he added.
