Former Trump Adviser Carter Page Was Questioned By FBI For Russia Probe: Report
One of Donald Trump’s former campaign adviser Carter Page was questioned by the FBI as part of their Russia investigation multiple times, according to The Washington Post.
According to the report, Page was questioned five times back in March. The meetings accumulated to a total of 10 hours.
The interviews between Carter and FBI officials are the “most extensive known questioning of a potential suspect” in the bureau’s investigation into Russia intervening in the 2016 presidential election, according to the report.
Page failed to tell the Post if he has been in contact with the bureau’s officials since being questioned.
“Our frank and open conversations gave me confidence that there are still logical, honest individuals at the Bureau who respect civil rights and the Constitution,” Page told the newspaper.
Page went on to deny any allegations against him that had to do with him communicating with Russian officials during the campaign.
