Fox Host Goes Bonkers, Calls For Robert Mueller To Be ‘Locked Up’ In Desperate Attempt To Save Trump
As special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation ramps up, President Donald Trump’s allies are reaching new heights to discredit Mueller and the Russia probe.
Mueller has so far charged four of Trump’s former associates as part of the investigation: former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former adviser and Manafort associate Rick Gates, former foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Mueller is also said to be building an obstruction-of-justice case against the president, stemming mainly from Trump’s decision to fire FBI director James Comey in May. Now he’s facing intense backlash from Trump loyalists.
On Friday, Fox News chief propagandist and Trump apologizer Sean Hannity called Mueller’s team “extremely biased” and “hyper-partisan.” He added that Mueller’s investigation “has put the country now on the brink of becoming a banana republic.”
“Mueller’s stooges are literally doing everything within their power and then some to try and remove President Trump from office,”
And just last night, right-wing Fox News host Jeanine Pirro suggested the FBI and Department of Justice should undergo a “cleansing” that would see Special Counsel Robert Mueller and a number of other staff “locked up.”
“There is a cleansing needed in our FBI and our Department of Justice,” she said on Sunday in the opening statement of her show. “It needs to be cleansed of individuals who should not just be fired but who need to be taken out in handcuffs.”
“There have been times in our history when corruptions and lawlessness were so pervasive that examples had to be made – this is one of those times.,” she added.
“I for one am tired of investigations, politicians posturing. Something more has to be done. The stench coming out of the DOJ and FBI is like that of a third world country where money and boys and clubs decide elections,” she said.
“Its time to take them out – in cuffs,” she added.
She also suggested there should be “handcuffs for Andrew McCabe, deputy director of the FBI,” as well as citing Peter Strzok and a number of others whom she suggested had helped Hillary Clinton to avoid charges over the investigation into her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.
Pirro, a longtime supporter of the president, previously told Trump he should appoint a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton during a private meeting in the Oval Office.
