Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro Goes Down In Flames After Racist Attack Against Rep. Ilhan Omar
Freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has become the latest target of Right-wing pundits and xenophobic Republicans, who intend to make her the poster child for the Democratic Party.
While the young official spent the week being educated on what anti-Semitic tropes are, the people at Fox News worked overtime to find ways to take everything she says out of context and turn it into a conspiracy theory while ignoring anti-Semitism from top Republicans who’ve been caught with their own anti-Semitic social media posts.
Fox host Jeanine Pirro was the latest to attack Omar by using Islamophobic attacks on her hijab.
According to Pirro, because Omar wears the religious headscarf, it means she supports Sharia Law. The claim is a curious one, since Omar was elected as a Democrat. Party members, including Omar, believe in feminism and empowering women, LGBTQ equality, denouncing racism and other progressive policies that are antithetical to Sharia Law.
Meanwhile, Fox News hosts along with most Republicans support a Christian version of Sharia Law.
Twitter users called out the Pirro’s xenophobia and schooled her on actual facts about “religious liberty” and “religious freedom.”

Will Pirro now question all who also observe their religious dress codes about their loyalty to the US Constitution? Asking for a Jehovah, Orthodox Jewish, Amish, Sikh, Baha’i, Catholic,… friend

Grandma Hinko sometimes wore a babushka, and an extra sweater if she felt a chill. She really liked living in the United States. Also, I don't remember anyone on TV denouncing my grandma. Many who knew her praised her cooking.

Thanks for the warning. I will not listen to it. I can guess what she says.

Judge Jeanine Pirro is an absolute lunatic. I am old enough to remember when she was “the future of the New York State Republican Party.”
I am not a fan of Ilhan Omar. But I dislike Pirro even more.
I yearn for the return of a more normal political environment. pic.twitter.com/qzHHAN07Lw
