Fox News Just Got Slapped With a Criminal Complaint

Well, it seems that as Donald Trump goes, so goes Fox News. With mounting legal troubles and sinking ratings, the right-wing network appears to be in an irreversible free fall.

Shaken over the numerous sexual harassment that resulted in the firing of CEO Roger Ailes and their top rated show’s host, Bill O’Reilly, Fox News now faces a new criminal complaint.

On Monday, former Fox News host Andrea Tantaros filed yet another lawsuit against the network, NPR reports.

Tantaros, who previously filed sexual harassment lawsuits against both Ailes and O’Reilly, claims that Fox News’ co-president Bill Shine, and other “senior executives” arranged to “have her private communications spied on as part of a campaign of intimidation.”

The lawsuit claims that the network spied on Tantaros through her private electronic communications and gave the information they found to Twitter accounts acting on Fox News’ behalf. A list of the tweets and the personal information they contained, information Tantaros insists could only have come from hacking into her private communications, were included in the lawsuit.

The legal document also states that Tantaros began experiencing backlash online from fake Fox News Twitter accounts shortly after reporting Ailes and O’Reilly for sexually harassing her:

“There was a large increase in negative social media posts about Tantaros…Fox News was the source of these negative comments, by posting them on its numerous “sock puppet” accounts…It has been widely reported that Fox News maintains a large number of “sock puppet” accounts…media relations was also shopping negative stories about Tantaros, and leaking baseless and harmful information about Tantaros to discredit her and cause reputational harm.”

As expected, Fox News has denied these allegations just as Roger Ailes’ denied the claims of 20 different women that he sexually harassed them and Bill O’Reilly denied those same types of claims despite paying millions of dollars to keep the women from coming forward.

During a recent interview with ‘Good Morning America’, Tantaros spoke on the wide-spread sexual harassment at Fox News. Watch the video below:
