Fox News Just Turned On Trump After His Series Of Attacks On John McCain: Watch
Donald Trump’s favorite network was not happy with the president’s recent attacks on late Sen. John McCain.
On Tuesday, after Trump criticized McCain again during a joint press conference with Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, a Fox News panel decided to criticize the president.
GOP strategist Lauren Claffey said the party is “always a little concerned” about Trump’s inability to stay on-message in the wake of his comment earlier in the day when he said he was “never a fan of John McCain and never will be.”
Host Neil Cavuto also spoke out against Trump, saying that his “fixation” on McCain is “in a field of its own” apart from his daily Twitter rants.
RealClearPolitics’ A.B. Stoddard sided with the host, noting that “we’ve known for a while that President Trump took it very personally” when McCain voted against the “skinny repeal” of the Affordable Care Act while he was still serving in the Senate.
“He obviously takes it very personally,” Stoddard added. “He mentions it at rallies, mentions it over and over again. It is truly offensive. There’s veterans that are supporters of Donald Trump that will be deeply hurt by these comments.”
“I do believe you do jump that proverbial shark going after a dead war hero,” Cavuto added later in the segment.
