GOP Co-Sponsor Of Resolution To Censure Schiff Caught Receiving Money From Ukrainian Henchmen
Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-MI), who is one of the co-sponsors of a resolution to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), has been caught receiving campaign donations from one of Rudy Giuliani’s indicted Ukrainian associates.
According to Lancaster Online, Smucker received a $2,500 donations from Igor Fruman earlier this month.
Fruman was later arrested for funneling foreign money into U.S. campaigns.
On Monday, Republicans, including Smucker, introduced a resolution to censure Schiff, who is leading the investigation into Donald Trump’s admitted attempts to get Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden.
Republicans allege that Schiff “misled the American people” by reading a satirized version of Trump’s call with Ukraine’s president.
