GOP Congressman Steve King Just Blamed Obama For The Baseball Practice Shooting
Leave it to an alt-right Republican to blame former President Barrack Obama for the shooting that took place during a baseball practice Republican lawmakers were having in Northern Virginia.
GOP Rep. Steve King linked Obama to the attack, arguing that he was the cause for the country’s division.
“I do want to put some of this at the feet of Barack Obama,” King said on WHO Iowa radio. “He contributed mightily to dividing us. He focused on our differences rather than our things that unify us. And this is some of the fruits of that labor.”
The shooting left five people wounded, one of which was House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), who has underwent three surgeries since the shooting and remains in critical condition.
After the shooting multiple Democrats received threatening phone calls saying “you guys are next.”
The shooter of the attack was identified as 66-year-old James Hodgkinson of Belleville, Illinois. Hodgkinson was shot at the scene and has since been pronounced dead.
Some Republicans has gone as far as to blame Democrats for the attack. Now King is added to those Republicans, but he pin-pointed out Obama as the main reason.
