GOP Lawmaker Blake Farenthold Quits After Being Sued For Sexual Harassment: Report
It was reported on Friday that another Republican has decided to step down from his post. This time Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX) called it quits after a sexual harassment settlement against him became public.
According to Politico’s Jake Sherman, Farenthold decided to resign on Friday when his sexual harassment settlement became public after the #MeToo movement came to Capitol Hill.’

Just yesterday, Farenthold’s office denied the rumors of his resignation, Politico reporter John Bresnahan noted.

Farenthold used $84,000 in taxpayer money to settle the suit against him.
