GOP Lawmaker Caugh Conspiring With Right-Wing Hate Group To Conduct Violent Attacks On Liberal Activists

Washington State Rep. Matt Shea, a Republican representing Spokane, was caught conspiring with far-right extremists through private messaging to conduct violent attacks on liberal activists.

According to the Guardian, Shea used the screen name “Verum Bellator” (true warrior) to communicate with “American Redoubt” broadcaster Jack Robertson, a.k.a. “John Jacob Schmidt,” and Anthony Bosworth, one of the antigovernment extremists who occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in 2016.

The report revealed that the chats mostly consisted of talking about the possibility of another civil war.

The group described in gruesome detail what they wanted to do to their perceived political enemies. “Shave her bald with a K-Bar USMC field knife,” said Robertson of one Spokane woman. “Would make good attachment points for hoisting communists up flag poles. Especially the ones with nipple rings. But… if you cinch up zip ties enough, you don’t even NEED nipple rings for hoisting.” Shea, for his part, offered and asked for background checks on several activists in Spokane.
