The tension is growing higher and higher in the Republican party. Now it appears that House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell might lose their job for not agreeing to carry on with Donald Trump’s crazy agenda.
House Freedom Caucus Chair Rep. Mark Meadows sent a warning to both Ryan and McConnell, saying that they will lose their jobs if they don’t carry out Trump’s border wall and tax cuts for the rich agenda.
The Hill reported on Wednesday:
“Bottom line: if Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell can get the president’s agenda done, they can probably keep their jobs,” Meadows said in an interview.
“If Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell can’t get the president’s agenda done, I don’t know that they get to keep theirs, nor do I know if I get to keep mine. We’ve got to deliver. It’s critically important we do that in a way that conservatives have long espoused,” he said.
The tension in the Republican party is due to Trump’s crazy ideas. On Wednesday Trump threatened to shut down the government if Congress doesn’t fund his proposed border wall.
The Republican Party seems to be slowly deteriorating. If this continues they will lose control of the government come 2018.
