Over the past couple of months, Senator Lindsey Graham has made a perplexing and dramatic turn from righteous Trump critic to slobbering Trump apologist, and no one knows why.
Graham’s inexplicable transformation took a stunningly dark turn on Wednesday, as he began attacking the latest woman to come forward with explosive allegations about Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The South Carolina Senator —who has become one of Donald Trump’s top allies in Congress, as well as a frequent golf partner of POTUS’s—just issued a statement condemning the new allegations against Kavanaugh on the basis that anyone who associates themselves with a suspected sexual abuser should not be trusted.
Graham suggested that it’s entirely Julie Swetnick’s fault that she attended parties where Brett Kavanaugh and his buddies were allegedly conspiring to drug women without their knowledge and then lining up to gang rape them. He also took the opportunity to attack Swetnick’s lawyer Michael Avenatti.
“I have a difficult time believing any person would continue to go to – according to the affidavit – ten parties over a two-year period where women were routinely gang raped and not report it. I also find it curious these charges were not brought forward until 2018, two days before a confirmation vote,” Graham wrote on Twitter.
He added: “Why would any reasonable person continue to hang around people like this? Why would any person continue to put their friends and themselves in danger? Isn’t there some duty to warn others?”
Why would any reasonable person continue to hang around people like this?
Why would any person continue to put their friends and themselves in danger?
Isn’t there some duty to warn others?

You have to wonder, is Sen. Graham being blackmailed? Is he caught up in the Trump-Russia criminal conspiracy?
Either way, it’s one thing to give in to a blackmailer. It’s another to become that blackmailer’s most evil, gleefully deranged henchman.
This isn’t just sick on Graham’s part; it’s almost criminal. Graham is on the verge of committing felony obstruction of justice. Perhaps we should start asking if he’s going to end up in prison, alongside Trump and Kavanaugh.
