The Natural Resources Defense Council(NRDC) will be holding a fundraising event on April 25 in Los Angeles. The “Stand up for the Planet: An Evening of Comedy Benefitting NRDC’s Litigation Fund” will be hosting some comedic heavyweights.
Larry David, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Martin Short, J.B. Smoove, “Veep’s” Tony Hale, Tig Notaro, Jerrod Carmichael, and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson will all be attending the event.
“I’m going to venture a guess: For the past two months, the news out of Washington has left you scowling — and maybe even growling — more than laughing,” NRDC President Rhea Suh said in an email to supporters, according to The Washington Examiner.
She went on to add, “well, we have something that might help.”
Trump is getting sued by the NRDC for his decision to delay the implementation of energy efficiency rules for appliances, and his approval of a permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.
