In more than one occasion, Donald Trump has made comments that can be construed as a threat of violence against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Now his followers are doing the same.
Last month, trump told a large crowd: “If she gets to pick her judges ― nothing you can do, folks. Although, the Second Amendment people. Maybe there is. I don’t know.”
More recently, he suggested that Clinton’s Secret Service agents should be disarmed. “Take their guns away,” he said before adding: “Let’s see what happens to her.”
Now, CBS News has reported that a Trump-supporting North Carolina gun rights group is raffling an AR-15 rifle, 1,000 rounds of ammunition and a picture of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that they say is “very popular at the range.”
On the website for the raffle, Grass Roots North Carolina, a political lobbying group, is calling the raffle “The Hillary Clinton Special.” It says “Of course, we won’t tell you what to do with the photo […] but it’s very popular at the range.”
The website also claims that a Clinton victory in November would lead to “panic buying” of firearms so that “there won’t be a gun (or ammunition) available for love nor money.”
