Following the breaking news on Monday that Sean Hannity has been listed as a client of Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, the Fox News host tried downplaying the news.
Hannity took to Twitter to try and claim that his ties to Cohen were not a big deal.
“Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter. I never retained him, received an invoice, or paid legal fees. I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective,” he tweeted.

He added that his conversations with Cohen were “almost exclusively about real estate,” and that he has “no personal interest” in Cohen’s court appearance.
In response to some wild speculation, let me make clear that I did not ask Michael Cohen to bring this proceeding on my behalf, I have no personal interest in this proceeding, and, in fact, asked that my de minimis discussions with Michael Cohen,

which dealt almost exclusively about real estate, not be made a part of this proceeding.

Of course, people took notice that Hannity was trying to downplay the truth. It wasn’t long before Twitter users had something to say.
Take a look at some of the best responses in the tweets below:

You should probably stop talking, you're not helping your buddy Cohen or your hero Donald Trump by running your mouth/tweeting right now.
