A New Jersey Republican candidate is taking a lot of heat after a video surfaced on him calling diversity a bunch of “crap” and “un-American.”
New Jersey congressional candidate Seth Grossman is now sticking by his original claims of calling diversity un-American.
Back on April 21, Grossman was caught on video saying “The whole idea of diversity is a bunch of crap and un-American.”
In the video, which was first shared with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Grossman goes on to say that diversity is “an excuse by Democrats, communists and socialists, basically, to say that we’re not all created equal, that some people, if somebody is lesser qualified, they will get a job anyway or they’ll get into college anyway because of the tribe that they’re with, what group, what box they fit into.”
Now, that the video resurfaced, Grossman’s campaign posted a statement on Facebook doubling down on his claims.
“‘Diversity’ is not a virtue,” the statement read. “America did not become great because of ‘diversity.’”
