One of Donald Trump’s top advisers Kellyanne Conway made an appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Monday where she took advantage of making an appearance on a Trump-friendly network to dismiss Trump’s tweet that he’s being investigated.
Last week Trump tweeted out saying, “I am being investigated for firing the FBI director by the man who told me to fire the FBI director.”
In response, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow made a public statement denying that Trump is being investigated.
“Let me be clear here,” he said on NBC’s “Meet The Press.” “The president is not and has not been under investigation for obstruction.”
Conway made an appearance on Fox to “clarify” the “truth.”
“That’s the President responding to a Washington Post report that included five anonymous sources,” Conway said. “And that’s the President in his 140 characters, through his significant social media platform, Ainsley, telling everybody, ‘wow, look at the irony here.’”
Conway also went on a rant, saying that the Russia investigation is costing taxpayers “tens of millions” of dollars. But then again Trump is costing Americans millions of dollars as well, taking pointless vacations almost every weekend, but Conway did not mention that.
