House Democrat Just EXPOSED Bannon For The Man He Is: ‘A Stone Cold Racist’
Many people have questioned and criticized Donald Trump for picking Steve Bannon as his senior adviser. Bannon used to own Breitbart News, which is a far-right white supremacist website. He is known for making racist comments and sympathizing with white supremacy.
On Friday, Representative Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) gave his two cents on Bannon, saying he is a “a stone cold racist and a white supremacist sympathizer.” The statement came after being asked on MSNBC about a meeting between the president and the Congressional Black Caucus, to which he said it must exclude Bannon.
“We’re looking forward to an open dialogue, but Steve Bannon should not be in the room,” Jeffries said.
Asked to elaborate on his position, he said that he does not wish to normalize Bannon.
“Well listen he’s a stone cold racist and a white supremacist sympathizer. It’d be hard for me to participate in any meeting with Steve Bannon that normalizes his presence in the White House,” he said.
Jeffries also stated that the Congressional Black Caucus would be willing to meet up with Trump “if he in fact is genuinely interested in working on issues of importance to black America.”
Trump has been president for for about a month and has yet to meet up with the Black Caucus. During his hectic and messy press conference, Trump was asked by African American reporter April Ryan if he would be willing to meet up with the group. In response, Trump said he would if she could set up the meeting.
