An event has been planned on the Facebook page called “Chicago moons Trump Tower.” The page has set up and event titled “Operation “Kiss Our Asses, Release Your Taxes,” where people will be dropping their pants in front of the Chicago Trump tower as a form a protest to get Trump to release his taxes.
The event page has proven this to be perfectly legal. “In 2006, a Maryland state circuit court determined that mooning is a form of artistic expression protected by the First Amendment as a form of speech,” the event page says. “Donald Trump doesn’t think the American people want to see his tax returns, so let’s show him that we do in the classiest way possible!”
Trump said during his campaign that he was going to release his taxes as soon as the IRS audited them. But now that they have been audited there is no sign of them. Trump now says that he has no intentions of releasing his tax returns, breaking decades of tradition.
Kellyanne Conway also backed the president’s statements. “The White House response is that he’s not going to release his tax returns,” she said during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”
She claimed that the people did not care if he released them. She said “we litigated this all through the election. People didn’t care. They voted for him.” Although the majority of America would beg to differ with that statement.
The even is set to take place Feb. 12 at Trump Tower Chicago. Protestors will meet at 3:30 p.m. at Trump Tower Chicago, and plan to moon the building for 10 seconds starting at 4 p.m. in what event organizers call “a powerful message to Washington elites.”
The event has already garnered about 400 people who will be showing up on February 12th, and more than 1000 people have shown interest in the event.
