With less than a month before Election Day, the Republican candidate for governor Scott Wagner threatened physical violence against his Democratic rival, incumbent Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf.
Wagner released a Facebook video insisting that he had not given up despite saying he was “tapped out” financially in a recent fundraising email.
The former state senator has invested more than $10 million of his own money to unseat Wolf, and he ominously warned the governor while standing next to piles of money in a Facebook video.
“Gov. Wolf, let me tell you, between now and Nov. 6, you better put a catcher’s mask on your face because I’m going to stomp all over your face with golf spikes because I’m going to win this for the state of Pennsylvania,” the GOP gubernatorial nominee said, “and we’re throwing you out of office because you know what, I’m sick and tired of your negative ads.”
The ad comes amid Republican complain about Democratic “incivility” over protests against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
