ICE Agents Raid Migrant Homes During California Coronavirus Quarantine: Report
David A. Marin, a director of enforcement and removal operations with ICE, led multiple raids this week as people in California were told to stay in their homes to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
According to the LA Times, “About a dozen immigration agents took part in the raids, which went on amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.”
“We’re out here trying to protect the public by getting these criminal aliens off the street and out of our communities,” said Marin.
Marin also spoke about the coronavirus outbreak.
“We couldn’t factor this in, right? This COVID-19 and the precautions that everybody is taking,” said Marin. “We just have to continue to go with the same game plan that we’ve been doing.”
