Public Policy Polling (PPP) conducted a survey from March 27 to 28, which was released on Tuesday. The poll shows that not only are Trump’s approval ratings plummeting, but Paul Ryan isn’t liked by that many people either.
The new survey shows that 40% of people approve of Donald Trump, compared to the 53% of people who disapprove of the president.
Ryan’s numbers are quite worst. According to the poll, Ryan’s approval rating is at 21%, compared to his 61% disapproval rating.
The last time PPP held a survey was about two weeks ago. Both Trump’s and Ryan’s numbers hit new lows this time.
Trump’s numbers fell 3 points since the last survey, while Ryan’s numbers fell 13 points during the same period.
The survey comes after the collapse of the Republican party and their attempt to shove a healthcare plan down peoples’ throats without their consent.
42% blame Ryan for the AHCA’s collapse, according to PPP’s latest poll, while 33% view Trump as responsible.
Ryan broke with Trump Thursday, adding that GOP infighting may force the president into pairing with Democrats before their own party.
“I don’t want that to happen,” he said on “CBS This Morning.” “[If] the Republican Congress allows the perfect to be the enemy of the good, I worry we’ll push the president into working with Democrats.”
The PPP conducted their survey with 677 registered voters via cell and landline phone interviews from March 27 to 28. It has a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.
