While discussing Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s announcement to run for president in 2020, The View’s Joy Behar and Meghan McCain got in a heated argument that led to the conservative host getting shut down.
The discussion started when Behar introduced the segment on Klobuchar announcing her candidacy during a snowstorm in her home state of Minnesota, which prompted Donald Trump to use it as an excuse to question climate change.
The host showed a tweet by Trump that dismissed climate change because of the winter storm.
“Can I finish?” Behar said after McCain muttered her disapproval at focusing on Trump’s tweets.
Behar then shared Klobuchar’s response to Trump which included a shot at the president’s combover hairstyle.
“This whole thing is so stupid,” McCain whined.
“Can I speak now, permission to speak now on Amy Klobuchar, we’re all good?” McCain said, adding that she had two points to make before interrupting herself. “Nope, by all means, keep going, Joy.”
That’s when Behar decided to cut her off for throwing a tantrum.
“If you’re going to have a hissy fit, we can’t continue,” Behar said, and then introduced the next topic. “Let’s go to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, she had another awkward moment on the campaign trail when she was caught yanking her grandson into a photo op. Look at that. Now, you want to talk about that? Anybody?”
