Even though Jeffrey Epstein was arrested five weeks ago on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors, for some reason the Feds still hadn’t raided his home in the U.S. Virgin Islands. After he died over the weekend of what the government is calling an “apparent suicide,” the raid is now officially underway as we speak, according to ABC News.
The FBI and the NYPD have launched a joint raid and evidence collection operation at Jeffrey Epstein’s home in the Virgin Islands, NBC News reports.
This development comes after the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York stressed that the investigation would continue after Epstein’s death and that there was a “conspiracy” charge against him, which means by definition that Epstein had alleged co-conspirators and that the probe is continuing.
Additionally, the inclusion of the New York Police Department suggests that this operation is meant to prevent any interference from Attorney General Bill Barr, who may attempt to seize the evidence against Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirators and then suppress it.
