Donald Trump for some reason thinks he’s the most popular president of all time, but poll numbers prove otherwise. So instead of admitting that he’s the least popular president in history, Trump lies about his poll numbers.
Today in Cleveland, during a roundtable discussion, Trump tried bragging about his job approval numbers again, claiming that they’re higher than former President Barack Obama’s.
“We just had a poll, 51 or 52, which came out, you know, very nicely,” Trump said. “Then I turn on like, you know, one of the networks and I see, ‘Donald Trump, who’s not very popular…’ I’m saying, ‘What are you talking about?’”

But FiveThirtyEight has been tracking Trump’s approval ratings, and they are not even close to what he claims them to be.
The most recent poll shows Trump at a 42.1 percent approval rating, while 52 percent disapprove of him.
