Donald Trump has yet to release his tax returns, that’s why on Saturday tens of thousands of people gathered around the country to protest. But it seems that Trump isn’t the only one being blamed for keeping his taxes a secret.
A privacy group is now suing the IRS for not for not disclosing Trump’s tax returns.
On Saturday the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) filed the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, according to Politico.
The request comes on the same day that people have gather all over calling for Trump to release his taxes.
In the FOIA request, EPIC called the IRS to release Trump’s returns dating back to 2010 and every year after. The reason for the request is to figure out if Trump has any financial ties to Russia.
“The Commissioner should move promptly to obtain permission from the Joint Commission on Taxation to release the records EPIC has requested,” the FOIA said.
