Republican former congressman Joe Walsh, a self declared Trump supporter, wants everyone to know that he’s “getting his musket” if Donald Trump loses the election.
Apparently, the former Illinois representative wants to make America great again by turning it into 1776 if his candidate loses, posting on Twitter:
“On November 9th, if Trump loses, I’m grabbing my musket. You in?”
Some took his inflammatory remarks as a call for violent insurrection, and he soon began trending on Twitter, earning strong condemnation from users across the internet.
Walsh deleted the tweet and shut down his account, but not before a screenshot of his tweet started circulating online.
Walsh’s apparent threat to a potential Clinton presidency follows the footprints of his candidate, who in several occasions have suggested violence against his Democratic rival.
Donald Trump said at rally in August that “Second Amendment people” may be the only ones able to stop the Democrat from appointing liberal justices to the Supreme Court.
In another rally last month, Trump told his supporters that Clinton’s Secret Service detail shall be “disarmed” to see what happens to her.
