Just Hours After Trump Urged Congress To Stop Investigating Him, House Dems Get Mueller Involved
During his State of the Union address on Tuesday night, Donald Trump urged Congress to stop investigating him because it would stop both parties from working together.
Just hours after Trump delivered that ridiculous speech, the House Intelligence Committee voted to provide transcripts of testimony it took behind closed doors in its Russia investigation to special counsel Robert Mueller for use in possible prosecutions.
Adam Schiff, the Democratic chairman in the committee, told reporters after a closed-door meeting:
“The special counsel’s office, the Department of Justice and its elements will now have access to those transcripts for any purpose which will facilitate justice.”
