Kellyanne Conway Is Getting Hammered Online After ‘Stupid’ Defense Of Trump’s Childish Tweets

Alternative facts evangelist and White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway drew the ire of the internet on Sunday after issuing the most absurd defense of President Trump’s bizarre “short and fat” attack on North Korea dictator Kim Jong-Un.
Appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” Conway said rump called Kim Jong Un “short and fat” in response to an earlier insult by the North Korean leader, who called Trump “old.”
“What’s helpful in full context is a 13-day trip where the president is very focused on global security, and combating terrorism and most importantly containing a nuclearized North Korea,” Conway said when asked if the tweet is helpful.
“And you think name calling is helpful? Calling somebody short and fat?” host Martha Raddatz asked.
“I think that was the president just responding the way he does to somebody who insulted him first,” Conway said.
While in Vietnam, Trump fired off a tweet questioning why the North Korean leader would call him old, “when I would NEVER call him short and fat.” He has previously dubbed Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man.”
Trump seems to believe that trading insults is the most “helpful” way to resolve the escalating tensions over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs. North Korea conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear bomb test on September 3, prompting another round of UN sanctions.
Conway insisted that Trump was justified in his response because “Kim Jong-un started it.”
Then she got torched online.
