Kellyanne Conway Just Suggested Trump Is Willing To Pardon Anyone Caught Up In Russia Probe

During an exchange with Reporters on Friday, White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway dropped a not-so-subtle message that President Donald Trump would pardon people caught up in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.

Conway was asked if Trump thought it was a good idea to pardon Scooter Libby, the disgraced former chief of staff to former Vice President Dick Cheney who was convicted of lying to FBI agents.

The alternative facts guru said that Trump wasn’t trying to send a message that it was okay to lie to the FBI, but she did say that “many people think that Scooter Libby was a victim of a special counsel gone amok.”

Several Trump associates, including former campaign aide George Papadopoulos and former national security adviser Michael Flynn, have pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI thanks to the work of special counsel Robert Mueller. But Conway seems to be communicating that Trump is more than willing to pardon people whom he believes have been wrongfully caught up in a special counsel’s net.
