Kevin McCarthy Received Thousands From Giuliani’s Indicted Ukraine Henchman: Report
It was revealed on Thursday that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who has been an outspoken critic of the impeachment inquiry of Donald Trump, actually received thousands of dollars from Lev Parnas, the foreign-born businessman who was indicted this week on campaign-finance charges.
According to New York Daily News reporter Michael McAuliff, McCarthy’s reelection campaign received nearly $3,000 from Parnas in June 2018.
Other filings made with the Federal Elections Commission show that Parnas donated that exact same amount to Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), who on Thursday was implicated in an indictment of Parnas and his business partner, Igor Fruman.
The report goes on to reveal that Parnas has been a big donor of the Republican Party, mostly donating to the pro-Trump Great America super PAC.
Similar donation tale for an Igor Fruman. Donation history starts in 2018. Lots of Trump and NRSC. More than $20,000 to Rick Scott and Scott's Victory Fund. Joe Wilson got the max $5,400.
