Kris Kobach Turns On Trump As He Throws NC Republicans Under The Bus: ‘Voter Fraud Did Occur’
Donald Trump decided to launch a voter integrity panel following his loss in the popular vote back in the 2016 presidential election when Hillary Clinton beat him by over 3 million votes. Trump hired Kris Kobach to run his panel, which didn’t find anything on how he lost to Clinton in the popular vote.
Now, Kobach has turned on Trump and has become the first Republican to raise concerns about the suspected voter fraud in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District.
During an interview with The Washington Post, Kobach said that he is “very concerned that voter fraud did occur.”
He added that it’s unclear whether the alleged harvesting of absentee ballots on behalf of Republican candidate Mark Harris, the apparent winner of the election, was significant enough to swing it in his favor.
The Post also spoke with former RNC chairman Michael Steele who said that in spite of the GOP’s claims of Democratic voter fraud, they’re the ones “whose hands have been caught in that proverbial election fraud cookie jar.”
