Latest Poll Shows Dems On Top Of Republicans By 15 Points On Generic House Ballot

Democrats continue to hold a lead over Republicans heading into March, according to a new poll released Thursday by Suffolk University and USA Today.

The poll shows Democrats leading by 15 points on a generic House ballot.

This marks the third straight survey to put Democrats ahead by double-digits as the midterm elections close in.

The survey found that 47 percent of voters would vote Democrats, while only 32 percent said they would vote Republican. 6 percent of voters said they would vote for neither.

“Change may be in the wind for Congress, with voters indicating a general turning away from the Republican Party,” said Suffolk University Political Research Center director David Paleologos.

The Suffolk University–USA Today poll surveyed 1,000 voters nationwide from Feb. 20 to 24. Its margin of error is 3 percentage points.
