Leaked Emails Reveal Trump Partner Made Agreement With Putin To Help Trump Win Presidency
On Monday, The New York Times revealed that it had obtained emails between Donald Trump’s business partner, Felix Sater, and Trump attorney Michael Cohen.
According to the emails, Sater had begun a relationship with Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, in 2015 to guarantee Trump would win the U.S. presidency.
“Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it,” Sater wrote in one email, according to the Times. “I will get all of Putins team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.”
Although the emails do not reveal if Sater did go through with his plan to win over Putin to help Trump win the presidency, it does raise more controversy in the Russia investigation.
The Trump organization has since denied claims that it has any real estate holdings in Russia.
