It was revealed on Monday that Ivanka Trump used her own personal email to contact a member of the Trump administration.
According to the American Oversight, who obtained documents through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Donald Trump’s White House adviser and daughter Ivanka used a personal email account to contact Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Linda McMahon in February.
In the email, Ivanka wrote to McMahon that she wanted to “explore opportunities to collaborate” with McMahon’s department on “women’s entrepreneurship.”
“Dina [Powell, the White House deputy national security director] and I are very excited about your focus on women’s entrepreneurship and would love to assist you in any way we can,” Ivanka wrote.
“Yet again we see that there’s one rule for the Trump family and another for everyone else. It’s simply breathtaking that both Ivanka and Jared Kushner would conduct government on a personal email account after running a campaign centered on that very issue,” said Austin Evers, the executive director of American Oversight, in a statement.
