‘Leave The False Statements To Your Daughter’: Ocasio-Cortez Slams Dunk Mike Huckabee
Democratic Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) blasted former Gov. Mike Huckabee on Sunday over his criticism of her election and progressive policies.
In an unprovoked attack, Huckabee fired off a tweet saying that Ocasio-Cortez appeared to liken her primary victory over heavily favored Rep. Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) to the moon landing or the expansion of voting rights.
Huckabee mocked Ocasio-Cortez saying the moon landing was “lunar, not looney.”
“Moon landing done by ppl who knew what they were doing…those who elected someone who thought there were 3 branches of Congress did NOT,” he added.
The incoming lawmaker was not amused and quickly set Huckabee straight:
“A Green New Deal will take a level of ambition + innovation on the scale of the moon landing. We’ve been done it before, and can do it again,” she wrote.
“Leave the false statements to Sarah Huckabee. She’s much better at it,” she added, referencing the former governor’s daughter and current White House press secretary.

Also, you haven’t been a Governor of any state for 10+ years now. https://t.co/R7q5CkMw8Y
