Lindsey Graham Begs Trump Not To Send Relief Money To Americans Who Need It
The White House announced that it would be sending $1,000 to each American adult and $500 for each child to try and help Americans who have not been able to work due to the coronavirus outbreak. But now, according to new reports, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is attempting to convince Donald Trump not to send out that money as part of the coronavirus relief bill.
During a Republican lunch on Thursday, Graham encouraged his colleagues not to support direct payments to Americans in what’s known as “phase 3” of the package. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) — the new White House chief of staff — was in attendance at the event.
