Lindsey Graham Thrown In Hot Lava For Not Defending His ‘Best Friend’ John McCain After Trump’s Vicious Attacks
Donal Trump on Sunday continued his vicious attacks against late Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), but there has not been a single word of defense coming from Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC), who used to call the maverick senator his best friend in Congress when he was alive.
On Saturday, the malevolent president launched an attack on McCain — who has been dead for seven months — tweeting, “Spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier ‘is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain.’ Ken Starr, Former Independent Counsel. He had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!”
Upping the attack on Sunday, he accused McCain of colluding with the Democrats to undermine him while mocking the Vietnam war veteran’s academic status during his time at the U.S. Naval College as “last in his class.”
While one might expect that Graham would rush to his friend’s defense, his latest tweet — posted on Saturday afternoon — celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with no mention of his buddy. And the internet took notice.
Twitter users who remember Graham and McCain’s well-documented friendship as part of the “Three Amigos” with ex-Sen. Joe Liebermann (D-CT) let him have it.

I'd probably be drinking this early in the day if I were you, because it would help me forget the way I've sold my soul to Trump and won't even defend my late colleague John McCain from Trump's attacks. Sad.

Not only has there been no refutation of any part of the Steele Dossier, but now that you've insulted John McCain again his loyal friend @LindseyGrahamSC will surely defend his honor against you. https://t.co/eWVY5OvzPi
