London Mayor Just Put Trump In His Place After Receiving Multiple Attacks From The US President
Donald Trump attacked London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, not once, but twice following the London Bridge attack.
Trump first attacked Khan on Sunday, tweeting:
“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”
In response Khan’s spokesperson said that the mayor was too busy to respond to Trump’s tweet.
“He has more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump’s ill-informed tweet that deliberately takes out of context his remarks urging Londoners not to be alarmed when they saw more police — including armed officers — on the streets,” they said.
On Monday Trump delivered yet another blow at the London Mayor:
“Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement,” he tweeted. “MSM is working hard to sell it!”
Khan, not stooping to Trump’s low level, sent out a message of hope to his people, saying his city will not let anyone “divide our community.”
“We aren’t going to allow anybody, whether it’s Donald Trump or anybody else to divide our community,” Khan told the BBC.
