London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s spokesperson shared a few words on Sunday after the mayor received a few words of criticism from Donald Trump saying that Khan had “more important things to do” than respond.
According to BuzzFeed, Kahn’s spokesperson said that the mayor is too busy coordinating the response to the “horrific and cowardly terrorist attack” to fully respond to Trump’s early Sunday morning tweet.
Trump tweeted out Sunday morning, after the attack on London, saying:
“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is “no reason to be alarmed!”

“He has more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump’s ill-informed tweet that deliberately takes out of context his remarks urging Londoners not to be alarmed when they saw more police — including armed officers — on the streets,” the spokesperson said.
The attack in London left at least seven dead and nearly 50 wounded. Khan’s message to Londoners was not to be alarmed by an increased police presence in the city.
“Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days,” Khan said following the attacks. “There’s no reason to be alarmed. One of the things the police and all of us need to do is ensure that we’re as safe as we possibly can be.”
