A man jumped to his death off the roof of Trump International Hotel and Tower near Central Park Sunday morning, several news outlets reported.
First responders removed the body of Kyle Mulrooney, 41, who plunged 44 stories from the top of the building just before 8 a.m. Sunday, witnesses said.
His body landed in the building’s front courtyard, not far from the sidewalk. He died at the scene, Police said.
According to authorities, Mulrooney had a history of schizophrenia. His mother saw him before he went to sleep the night before his death and appeared to be in good spirit. His father was on his way back to New York from Florida on Sunday.
Police continue to investigate the death, but said there were no early signs of foul play.
