Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said that he has yet to meet an American that has seen the Senate Republican healthcare bill, adding that he’s “sure the Russians have” seen it, according to Bloomberg.
McCain is one of the many number of Senators frustrated with Senate Republican leaders for their efforts to draft healthcare overhaul measures.
The Arizona Senator expressed his frustration after being asked if he had a copy of the bill, saying he does not.
“Nor have I met any American that has,” McCain said, according to Bloomberg. “I’m sure the Russians have been able to hack in and gotten most of it.”
Many Senators, both Republicans and Democrats, have shared the same complaint, that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kent.) crafted the bill behind close doors with little to no input from his colleagues.
McConnell announced that the bill will be revealed on Thursday and that a vote on the legislation could come as soon as next week. Many Republicans are skeptical though, saying that they might not vote for it due to not knowing what the bill entails.
