Senator John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, took a shot at Trump for insulting her father in a series of tweets on Thursday.
Donald Trump attacked Senator McCain on Thursday after he called the Trump-authorized mission in Yemen a failure.
“Sen. McCain should not be talking about the success or failure of a mission to the media. Only emboldens the enemy!” Trump tweeted.
“He’s been losing so … long he doesn’t know how to win anymore, just look at the mess our country is in — bogged down in conflict all over the place. Our hero … Ryan died on a winning mission (according to General Mattis), not a ‘failure.’ Time for the U.S. to get smart and start winning again!” he added.
Meghan wasn’t so happy about the president’s comments and her angered showed through her tweets.
“Trump has never served. My father can’t bend one of his knees or lift one of his arms above his head. I am done with this today. DONE. Disagree with politics ANY single day but how dare anyone question the honor of my father and his service,” McCain tweeted.
McCain also took her anger out on Fox News and CNN commentator Carl Higbie who repeated the words of the president that insulted her father.
The two had a twitter feud over the situation.
