Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made a surprise appearance at a Republican rally in Kentucky on Saturday after a week full of failures for the Republican party.
The Kentucky senator brushed off the fact that the GOP failed to pass their Obamacare repeal and tried to rally up the crowd by bashing on Hillary Clinton.
“I choose not to dwell on situations where we come up a little bit short,” McConnell said.
“Even on the night when we came up one vote short of our dream to repeal and replace Obamacare, here’s the first thing I thought about: feel better, Hillary Clinton could be president,” he added.
Republicans keep coming up with excuses as to why their seven-year-long plan to repeal Obamacare has failed. Nothing should be stopping them since they control all branches of government, but that’s not the case.
