Meghan McCain had a few words for Donald Trump after former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee, saying that he needs to “clean house” with his staff.
“Absolutely clean house,” she said Thursday on Fox News’s “Outnumbered.” “Especially everyone in his communications department.”
“They’ve got to get some adults who know what they’re doing in the room,” added McCain, Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) daughter.
McCain also had a few words of criticism for Trump’s personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, for the letter he released following Comey’s testimony.
“Great, it’s your longtime lawyer that helped you your three divorces,” she said of Kasowitz. “In this particular situation you’re talking about national security, possibly lying. Not the right person to send out from an optics and communications standpoint.”
Kasowitz said earlier Thursday:
“Today, Mr. Comey admitted that he unilaterally and surreptitiously made unauthorized disclosures to the press of his privileged communications with the president.”
