Melania Trump Sends Off Anti-Cyberbullying Tweet. It Didn’t Go well
I think it’s safe to say that Melania Trump’s “Be Best” campaign is not going well.
On Monday, the first lady addressed a cyberbullying summit in Rockville, Maryland, and acknowledged how social media can be “destructive and harmful when used incorrectly.”
She followed up with a tweet. But her message received an icy reception.
“#BeBest is dedicated to the well-being of children, the first lady wrote. “Thank you to @HRSAgov @SecAzar for allowing me the opportunity to be part of the efforts in providing a safer & healthier online presence at the #CyberbullyingSummit”
The irony of Melania Trump addressing the issue of cyberbullying as part of her campaign to improve the lives of children was not lost on many Twitter users.
They responded by highlighting the vicious Twitter attacks her husband President Donald Trump launches at political rivals, celebrities and anyone else who crosses him.
You can read Melania’s tweet and some of the responses below:

Appreciate the sentiment but problems:
1) "Be Best" is incorrect grammar–really disturbing coming from this office
2) It is hypocritical as it's in direct opposition to her husband, but she won't contradict him publicly
3)Concerned about children while wearing this? pic.twitter.com/xUfWJswOgA

Donald Trump bullies women and locks little children in cages. You’re nuts for supporting him. Absolutely fucking bat shit.

Your “#BeBest” PR stunt is a massive, depressingly cruel joke.
As you can surmise from a sample of my Muted words list, the #TrumpFamily cult have called me every name in the book.
Your family did that. Own it! pic.twitter.com/2QDZRHf0Go

The ONLY reason I have a Twitter account is to vent about your husband. He has used his power to make others feel powerless. The most evil form of bullying. Before you speak to our children, speak to him

@Flotus How can you continue this farce of being a champion of anti-cyberbullying, professing expertise on strategies to address when you live under the same roof as the Cyberbully in Chief? Hypocrisy at its finest.

Just thinking about a young kid, who asked a guard to translate your sweatshirt as you walked away.
“I really don’t care. Do you?”
You are to NEVER ever, ever, be listened to, or given coverage to, or to be honored.

Melania, Melanie – whatever your husband calls you: Try focusing on the cyber-bullying YOUR HUSBAND (the God damn supposed President of the United States) does multiple times DAILY on Twitter. If you can't control or influence him, you're useless to the rest of us. Buh-bye.

You have done nothing for the children or anyone else!! Your husband is the best example of cyberbullying, start by cleaning your house!! Other First Ladies were proactive working on several services for others. YOU DON'T CARE, remember??
