On Friday, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said Friday that President Trump once gave her an “unbelievably inappropriate hug” while on the set of “Morning Joe” during the 2016 presidential campaign.
The claim came during a discussion about former Vice President Joe Biden, who Brzezinski has staunchly defended amid allegations of inappropriate touching by seven women.
“Talk about somebody with boundary issues,” Brzezinski said of Trump. “Kind of makes me want to share the story about Trump’s unbelievably inappropriate hug in our studio.”
Brzezinski didn’t expand on the alleged incident as co-host Joe Scarborough pivoted to Trump’s sharing of a parody video mocking Biden on Thursday.
“The hypocrisy of that Joe Biden clip,” the former GOP congressman said of Trump. “Can you imagine the clip that’s going to follow that and the words that’s going to be put into the president’s mouth, probably with Billy Bush lurking around the back of his head and Stormy Daniels and Playboy models?”
Trump, Brzezisnki and Scarborough were once on friendly terms, but things appeared to sour after Trump captured the Republican nomination.
Trump has not appeared on the program or the network since May 2016.
