More Than 100 House Republicans Just Rejected Trump’s Tariff Plan

As the stock market continues to slide over President Trump’s vow to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum, more than one hundred Republican members of Congress on Wednesday signed a letter “urging” Trump to halt his plan, CNBC reported Wednesday afternoon.

“We urge you to reconsider the idea of broad tariffs to avoid unintended negative consequences to the U.S. economy and its workers,” the GOP lawmakers said in the letter.

The letter, released by the House Ways and Means Committee, comprised signatures from 107 Republican U.S. representatives.

This is a developing story and it will be updated.
