Mueller Ignores Trump’s Warning And Will Expand Investigation To His Family’s Business Dealings
Donald Trump warned special counsel Robert Mueller on Wednesday, saying that it would be “red line” if he began investigating his family’s business dealings. Now, according to a Bloomberg report, Mueller is getting ready to investigate Trump’s family business dealings.
According to a source who spoke with Bloomberg, Mueller’s team is “examining a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates.”
The source also claimed that “FBI investigators and others are looking at Russian purchases of apartments in Trump buildings, Trump’s involvement in a controversial SoHo development with Russian associates, the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow and Trump’s sale of a Florida mansion to a Russian oligarch in 2008.”
The investigation is taking over another probe into massive money-laundering scheme that was run by former Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara until he was fired by Trump earlier this year.
But the event that Mueller will be investigating the most would be the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, an event that connects Trump with the Agalarovs, the Russian family that offered to help Donald Trump Jr. receive damaging information on Hillary Clinton in 2016.
