Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates have been hit with a slew of “superseding indictments” as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
According to the documents that were revealed on Thursday, both Manafort and Gates face a total of 32 counts. They include tax and bank fraud.
“On Thursday, February 22, 2018, a grand jury sitting in the Eastern District of Virginia, filed a 32-count indictment charging defendants Paul J. Manafort, Jr., and Richard W. Gates III,” the document read.
